Bio Break

Bio Break is a blog written by a gamer named Syd who’s been wandering the MMORPG world for quiet a while and has seen a decent number of games. Someday I’ll compare the list of games I’ve played with Syd’s list. His is similar to mine, but mine seems to start earlier.

As many players at the moment, he’s started to play SWTOR and is writing about it. See for yourself for his recent exploits. Worth mentioning is also his long blogroll, which forces me to follow each single one of them.

Faction Territory Control with Patch 2.27

With tomorrow’s content patch, Fallen Earth rolls out Faction Territory Control, new world events, a map overhaul and the long awaited group XP improvements. Furthermore, the city of Embry Crossroads will see some changes in artwork and layout in order to reduce lag.

With this patch the new world event of First Night goes live with starting points in Embry Crossroads, Watchtower, Barret Manor, Dieseltown and Los Alamos

The official Fallen Earth website is a good resource for new players and has a couple of guides in their forums. Of note are the Ultimate Guide which has been mentioned here already. Other guides in the New Player section include

• a guide to the ATV quest chain
• resource locations in sector 1
• Help Chat FAQ
• a guide to the Lifenet Quest (essential before you leave sector 1)
• a great overview about how the player factions see each other

Fallen Earth Knowledge Base & Support

Very unique for an online game, the Fallen Earth support database and the former knowledge base have lots of information about quests, game mechanics and content. Very specific content, actually: Like vehicle crafting or a map of gas stations can be found at the pre-f2p knowledge base. The newer Gamersfirst Support website handles support requests, but will also contain game information, like the locations for the new Fast Travel System.
